Step into a fast-growing SaaS start-up in the Bay Area as the Director of Development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing an elite team through the development of web applications. The Director of Development must have an in-depth understanding of web application architecture, design, and development. This person will be accountable for managing, mentoring and leading a team from start to finish while producing the highest level of work.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related industry
- 8+ years working with heavy development experience (J2EE, JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS, Apache Tomcat and MySQL)
- 5+ years managing development teams
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Experience writing high performance, highly scalable systems.
- Experience managing a team of developers from on-boarding through application development.
- Ability to serve as a strong technical lead for product definition, architecture and development.
- Accountability for the delivery of projects within scheduled timelines.
- Ability to manage everyday operational aspects of a project.
- Assist in driving the strategy, roadmap and vision of the product.
- Proven experience developing high quality code.
- Prior experience with SaaS company is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
